£135.00Add to cartAfter the last year's successful iteration, we're delighted once again welcome the inimitable Barolo Boys, Federico Moccia and Nelson Pari, for an evening of Nebbiolo-fuelled revelry in the St. James’s Room. As is tradition, each circular table will be hosted by either Federico, Nelson, or one of four renowned Barolo winemakers, ensuring a slice of Piedmont charm to proceedings. This year’s stellar line-up features Alex Sanchez from Brovia, Stefano Gagliardo from Poderi Gianni Gagliardo, Silvia Altare from Elio Altare, and Oscar Arrivabene from Domenico Clerico - each arriving with not one, but two magnums of Barolo to share. New Zealand’s finest Pinot Noir and Chardonnay with Kumeu River – Monday 16th September
£95.00 – £110.00Price range: £95.00 through £110.00The story of the Brajkovich family and Kumeu River mirrors that of the New Zealand wine industry as a whole, from the pioneering days of struggle to global recognition for wines of elegance and precision. The original business was built from the ground up by Maté Brajkovich and his family, Dalmatian immigrants who arrived in New Zealand in 1938. But it was in the 1980s that Maté’s son Michael (who was to become New Zealand’s first Master of Wine) transformed the business, together with his brothers Milan and Paul. Today Kumeu River stands as one of New Zealand’s – and the southern hemisphere’s – most reputed makers of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. We are delighted to have the property’s vineyard director Milan Brajkovich join us for a tasting of what he describes as ‘New World wines with an Old World twist’. Milan manages a total of 40 hectares of vines, including 10 hectares overseen by regional growers from whom he purchases grapes. The core of these holdings are in Auckland, whose cool climate ensures the Chardonnay ripens fully while retaining acidity, lending it both the texture and complexity that the variety can yield in the best sites. And the best sites have certainly been identified over the years – notably in the acclaimed single-vineyard wines, peaking with the superb Maté’s Vineyard and Hunting Hill Chardonnay, both of which will be tasted on the night. In more recent years the winery has expanded its reach to Hawke’s Bay, on the south-eastern coast of New Zealand’s North Island, from where Members will taste three vintages of both its Rays Road Chardonnay and its increasingly reputed Rays Road Pinot Noir. We look forward to welcoming you to sample the very best of New Zealand. The wines we will be tasting: 2019 Pinot Noir, Rays Road, Kumeu River 2020 Pinot Noir, Rays Road, Kumeu River 2021 Pinot Noir, Rays Road, Kumeu River 2021 Chardonnay, Rays Road, Kumeu River 2022 Chardonnay, Rays Road, Kumeu River 2023 Chardonnay, Rays Road, Kumeu River 2023 Chardonnay, Hunting Hill, Kumeu River 2023 Chardonnay, Mate’s Vineyard, Kumeu River 2018 Chardonnay, Hunting Hill, Kumeu River 2018 Chardonnay, Mate’s Vineyard, Kumeu River Please note that we now offer a tasting board of charcuterie, cheese, olives and nuts to accompany your tasting. The ‘Irish’ Châteaux of Bordeaux with Raymond Blake | Friday 19th November 2021
£120.00Join Club Friend, Member, and leading Irish wine writer Raymond Blake for a relaxed introduction to the ‘Irish’ châteaux of Bordeaux. For centuries, Irish ex-pats and their descendants have had a significant influence in Bordeaux and Irish names abound there: Barton, Clarke, Dillon, Johnston, Kirwan, Lawton, Lynch, MacCarthy, Phelan, Quinn and others. The Irish achieved success both as château owners and négociants and the connection is not just historical, being given fresh emphasis when Lochlann and Brenda Quinn purchased Château de Fieuzal in 2001. During this presentation Raymond will lead us through an entertaining and informal wine tasting, rather than a structured masterclass, focusing on the people and the place, as well as the historical context and human stories behind the wines. Wines which will be tasted: Château de Fieuzal blanc 2018 Château Lynch-Bages, Blanc de Lynch-Bages 2015 Château de Fieuzal 2012 Château Lynch-Bages 2008 Château Langoa Barton 2005 Château Léoville Barton 2009 Friday 19th November 2021 St James’s Room 18.30 - Tasting begins 20:30 - Tasting finishes £120 per ticketAdd to cart -

Château Margaux dinner hosted by Alexis Leven Mentzelopoulos, Philippe Bascaules & Blandine De Rouffignac – Tuesday 9th June
£650.00Earlier in the year, we announced a Save The Date for a headline event this summer. We’re fairly confident that, together with the heading above, not much else needs to be said, but if you needed any additional prompting, the further details below will hopefully suffice… As the only first growth in its namesake commune, Château Margaux stands somewhat apart from the mighty Pauillac trio of Latour, Lafite and Mouton. Acclaimed for its elegant, perfumed rendering of its dominant Cabernet Sauvignon, the estate has, in recent years, moved to embrace organic viticulture, harnessed in the Sir Norman Foster-designed cellar that was inaugurated in 2015. Recent vintages have shown the benefit of such investment (though for the most part, Members attending this dinner will have to content themselves with older releases…) Our hosts for this rather special occasion will be not one, not two, but three directors of the property. Co-owner and CEO Alexis Leven Mentzelopoulos took over the role of CEO from his mother Corinne in 2023, continuing the family-owned and -run nature of the estate. He will be joined by Château Margaux’s managing director and chief winemaker Philippe Bascaules and R&D director Blandine De Rouffignac. Between them, they will guide Members through recent developments at the property, the Médoc, and Bordeaux as a whole, while presenting a stellar line-up of wines (including the hugely popular white). All three of the grands vins to be served come from acclaimed ‘9’ years, climaxing in the widely lauded 1989, a truly legendary Bordeaux vintage. The wines we’ll be enjoying: 2017 Pavillon Blanc de Château Margaux, Bordeaux 2019 Pavillon Rouge de Château Margaux, Margaux 2009 Château Margaux, Premier Grand Cru Classé, Margaux 1999 Château Margaux, Premier Grand Cru Classé, Margaux 1989 Château Margaux, Premier Grand Cru Classé, Margaux The menu: Amuse-bouche Langoustine tartare, oyster emulsion First course Braised wild mushrooms on toasted Brioche with egg yolk and truffle butter Second course Loomswood farm duck breast, spiced carrot, braised celery and cherry reduction Third course Tomme de chevre, toasted buckwheat, preserved currants Please email [email protected] if you have any requests as regards seating arrangements and for any dietary requirements. Exploring Etna with wild winemaker Frank Cornelissen – Wednesday 18th March
£115.00 – £130.00Price range: £115.00 through £130.00Frank Cornelissen is perhaps best known as something of a lodestar among natural wine fanatics. But to cast him purely in this mould is to downplay his significance in the wider wine world – and Italian wine in particular. Originally a wine importer in his native Belgium, Frank made a dramatic shift 25 years ago when, with no formal training, he upped sticks to move to the then sleepy scene of Sicily. There he made his first wine from a tiny plot of ungrafted vines on the slopes of Etna, a region he has since helped revitalise to the fame it enjoys today. Farming is organic, yields are low, average vine age very high (sometimes 100 years+), with many being ungrafted, pre-phylloxera vines planted at altitudes of up to 1,000m. The red grape harvest, which can extend into November, is regularly the last in the Northern hemisphere. The winemaking philosophy is centred around minimal intervention – rejecting commercial yeasts, additives and oak. Since Guillaume Thienpont of Vieux Château Certan came on board as technical consultant in 2018, a small amount of sulphur is used to preserve fruit purity and let the wild volcanic terroir shine. The wines, largely made from Nerello Mascalese, are intense but precise with an astonishing marriage of freshness and depth – from the entry level bottlings to the top-production cuvées such as Magma, CS & VA, and the unorthodox, multi-vintage Munjebel. ‘Yes, Etna is in Sicily, but it is a completely different ballgame,’ says Frank. ‘We have a fragrance, a subtlety, an attention in the wines and an elegance that creates something magical. It’s an unpolished jewel and a pure, raw diamond, which we are gradually polishing.’ We’re thrilled to welcome Frank to the club to present his dazzling range of wines – we invite you to join him to uncover the evolution of Etna winemaking. The wines we’ll be tasting: 2022 Munjebel Bianco Classico, Azienda Agricola Frank Cornelissen 2024 Susucaru Rosso, Azienda Agricola Frank Cornelissen 2021 Munjebel Rosso Classico, Azienda Agricola Frank Cornelissen 2018 Munjebel Rosso MC, Contrada Monte Colla, Azienda Agricola Frank Cornelissen 2018 Munjebel Rosso CS, Contrada Zottorinoto, Azienda Agricola Frank Cornelissen 2020 Munjebel Rosso MC, Contrada Monte Colla, Azienda Agricola Frank Cornelissen 2020 Munjebel Rosso CS, Contrada Zottorinoto, Azienda Agricola Frank Cornelissen Munjebel Rosso P, Cuvée Perpetuum, Azienda Agricola Frank Cornelissen 2020 Magma Rosso, Contrada Barbabecchi, Azienda Agricola Frank Cornelissen Wednesday 18th March St James’s Room 18:30 - Welcome reception 19:00 - Masterclass begins 20:30 - Masterclass endsSelect options This product has multiple variants. Discover the new-wave of Champagne with the pioneering Drappier – Tuesday 3rd February
£95.00 – £110.00Price range: £95.00 through £110.00While Champagne Drappier is thought of as representing the new-wave movement in Champagne, its roots can be traced back to the early 19th century. For 140 years, the Drappiers were growers, selling their grapes to the larger houses. When, in 1947, the family decided to step into production, they were pioneers in the Aube region, where the concept of grower-producer Champagne was almost unheard of. Set in the southerly Côte des Bar, nearly an hour from the nearest city, Troyes, its 62 hectares of vines are remote, by Champagne standards. So much so that the soils are set on Kimmeridgian limestone – the same as is found in the grand-cru vineyards of Chablis. The result is a significant minerality and a touch of salinity in the grapes, that freshness accentuated by the vineyards being set at the maximum elevation found in Champagne – 300 metres – which lends further acidity to the wines. This exposure, combined with the effects of climate change, allows for the ripening of Champagne’s lesser-known grape varieties, which had been gradually disappearing from vineyards. Around 20 years ago, Michel Drappier set out to preserve and revive them, via organic farming and minimal intervention, to make a range of wines which highlight these forgotten treasures, from Arbanne to Petit Meslier, Blanc Vrai to Fromenteau. Michel Drappier has headed the business since 1979. We invite you to join him for a rare opportunity to taste the vin clairs (Champagne’s still base wines) of these forgotten varieties alongside their finished counterparts. Such wines are rarely seen outside of the cellar, and indeed this is the first time the independent and family-run house will present the ‘before-and-after’ format in Europe. It should make for a fascinating evening…Select options This product has multiple variants. The options may be chosen on the product pageThe wines we will be tasting: The 2025 vins clairs from the five lesser-known white grape varieties authorised by the appellation: Arbanne Petit Meslier Voltis Blanc Vrai (aka Pinot Blanc) Fromenteau (aka Pinot Gris)
The session will then progress to a tasting of the finished wines of the corresponding cuvées: Trop M’en Faut, Drappier (100 % Fromenteau, aka Pinot Gris, aged in large oak barrels, zero dosage) Quattuor, Drappier (a blend of Arbanne, Petit Meslier, Blanc Vrai and Chardonnay) Père Pinot 2, Drappier (Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier, Fromenteau, Blanc Vrai with white skin maceration and a 40 year-old liqueur de dosage) Clarevallis, Drappier (Pinot Noir-dominant, with Pinot Meunier, Chardonnay and Blanc Vrai) Brut Nature Rosé Les Riceys, Drappier (saignée rosé with 20% rosé perpetual reserve) Tuesday 3rd February St James’s Room 18:30 - Welcome reception 19:00 - Masterclass starts 20:30 - Masterclass endsPlease note, tickets are refundable for cancellations up to 5 business days before the event. Grand Siecle: Recreating the Perfect Year
£100.00Join us in the St. James's Room for an evening hosted by Lucie Pereyre, Représentant Grand Siècle, Maison Laurent-Perrier, where we will be tasting 8 delicious cuvées whilst learning about the illustrious history of this prestigious house. When Bernard de Nonancourt inherited Laurent-Perrier from his mother, becoming Director in 1948, he had a clear and determined vision of where he wanted to go. To establish the name and forge the reputation of the House he was looking to produce a prestige champagne that would realise his ambition. At that time prestige cuvées were synonymous with a single vintage. However, by observing nature and mindful of the taste and the characteristics he appreciated in a wine, Bernard realised that the « Art of assemblage » was the only way for him to reach his vision of perfection. This vision went beyond single vintages and has three core principles: blending 3 great vintages, selecting only grapes from a limited number of Grands Crus vineyards and ageing this blend for a minimum of 10 years on its lees to reach its best expression. It is the complementarity of all those elements allied with our wine making expertise that encapsulates Bernard’s vision of the perfect year. Grand Siècle was first released in 1959 and to date the house has released only 25 blends, called «Iterations », where the vision of this perfection is recreated every time. The wines that will be tasted: Laurent-Perrier Vintage 2008 Laurent-Perrier Vintage 2007 Laurent-Perrier Vintage 2006 Grand Siècle No. 24 Grand Siècle No. 25 Grand Siècle Magnum No. 22 Grand Siècle Magnum No. 23 Grand Siècle No. 19 Should the event sell out before you are able to secure a ticket, please register your interest on the waiting list using this form. Standout California Chardonnay & Pinot Noir with Kistler winemaker Jason Kesner – Tuesday 2nd June
£125.00 – £140.00Price range: £125.00 through £140.00Kistler has long been acclaimed as one of California’s most considered, expressive producers of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Founded in 1978, the vision from the start was to reveal the transparency of vineyard site, with Steve Kistler keen to lessen his imprint on the vineyards he worked with and the wines that result. This is not necessarily as easy as it sounds, with Chardonnay and Pinot the varietals most easily marked by heavy-handed farming and the imprint of the maker. Steve retired in 2017, passing winemaking to Jason Kesner, who, after a long apprenticeship, continues to evolve the estate’s style while respecting the legacy of its founder. ‘Since the beginning, we’ve been farmers first,’ says Jason. ‘Because of the plant material we use, because of the sites we’ve chosen, because of our farming, the fruit can and will reach a perfect balance where it is the only ingredient needed to make exceptional, delicious wines.’ Today, Kistler works with 15 vineyards, stretching from western Sonoma County to Carneros, on the border with Napa Valley. Each vineyard-designate cuvée is vinified using traditional Burgundian techniques: low yields; barrel-ferments with indigenous yeasts; ageing in 60% new French oak; lees-contact through full malolactic fermentation; and bottling – unfiltered and unfined – after 12–18 months. These are benchmark California wines. We invite you to discover them with the man who makes them. Tenuta Luce, the Vision of Two wine-making legends
£90.00Join us in the St. James’s Room for a fantastic tasting of Luce wines hosted by Tenuta Luce winemaker and Chef des Cave Alessandro Marini, and Peter Ferguson, Global Sales Director for Marchesi di Frescobaldi. Montalcino is regarded as one of the world’s most unique wine appellations, its wines highly sought after by wine lovers and collectors internationally. Tenuta Luce, one of the few great Tuscan estates often referred to as “Super Tuscans”, is situated Southwest of the hilltop town of Montalcino, beginning as a project initiated in the early 90s with the meeting of two “legends” of wine, Vittorio Frescobaldi and Robert Mondavi. Choosing to make a wine together, the duo shared their knowledge to pursue the maximum expression of the terroir in a highly distinctive manner, through the blending of both the traditional Sangiovese varietal with the Merlot grape, a varietal unfamiliar within the Montalcino DOC. Since 2004, the Tenuta Luce Estate has been under the sole ownership of the Frescobaldi Family, and with Marchese Lamberto Frescobaldi at the helm of the Luce project, ensuring that Tenuta Luce stands out amongst the finest estates of Tuscany. Members will enjoy a delicious and informative tasting of Luce wines guided expertly by the authoritative first hand knowledge of Alessandro Marini, who will reveal evocative details related to the making of the wine, and his expertise in the vineyards. Borgogno Masterclass with Luca Colia & Mattia Tabacco – Monday 24th October
£85.00Born in 1761 in the heart of Barolo, Borgogno is the oldest continuously operating Barolo producer who has stood witness to the most significant moments in Italian history. In 1861, the year of the Unification of Italy, Borgogno’s Barolo was chosen to accompany the official celebratory lunch. Today, it continues to be the expression of a territory with admirable traditions, and yet is re-inventing itself with promising prospects in the future. Borgogno believes that the making of extraordinary wines takes time. When Giacomo Borgogno took over the management of the winery in 1920, he implemented the forward-thinking policy of putting away stocks of good vintages in bottle and releasing them over two decades later, something our Members will be able to taste for themselves in the 1982 Giacomo Borgogno Riserva. Borgogno adopts the unconventional approach of valuing practice over theory in the cellar. Their wines are still made according to the traditions of long, spontaneous fermentations in concrete tanks without the use of selected yeasts, as well as long periods of ageing, strictly in large Slavonian oak barrels. Join Luca Colia, the Export Manager of Borgogno and Oeno Group Buyer, Mattia Tabacco, for a masterclass exploring the history and present-day of this distinguished winery, whilst sampling 5 outstanding wines dating back to 1982. If you struggle with booking a ticket via our website for any reason, please contact our team contacting [email protected]. £75.00 – £90.00Price range: £75.00 through £90.00We invite Members to join us for another edition of our ever-popular Blind Tasting, led by Head of Wine Operations London, Federico Moccia, as he shares his approach to developing the wine-tasting experience. Blind tasting is a fantastic way to challenge your palate and preconceptions while refining your tasting skills, free of undue influence from labels or reputations. Whether you’re looking to deepen your wine knowledge or simply enjoy an informal but informative evening, we encourage you to join us on Monday 4th May. During the evening, Members will taste a selection of wines chosen by Federico, who will talk through their nuances and guide guests in identifying their defining characteristics. From pinpointing key components to connecting them with specific regions, grape varieties and vintages, you’ll leave with a greater appreciation for the art of wine tasting (and don't worry, Members won't be put under pressure to identify wines in front of the room – unless they want to be!) This promises to be an enjoyable and insightful evening – we hope to see you there. A day at Henley Royal Regatta – Wednesday 1st July
£435.00Read moreEach summer, the banks of the Thames become the stage for one of Britain’s most celebrated sporting and social occasions, the Henley Royal Regatta, where world-class rowing meets impeccable hospitality and timeless British tradition. This year, we are thrilled to invite Members to experience a day of the Regatta with 67 Pall Mall.
Under a special arrangement, we have secured a limited number of tickets for Members to enjoy the event from its most sought-after vantage point - the Stewards' Enclosure. Perfectly positioned with a view of the Finish Line, this area boasts two Grandstands from where Members can watch the racing and enjoy sweeping views of the Regatta Course, with the stunning backdrop of Henley town and St Mary's Church tower. Access to Steward's Enclosure is highly restricted and it is a genuine privilege to be able to extend invitations to our Members. The morning begins with breakfast at The Relais Henley before guests make their way over to the Enclosure to watch the racing. Thoughtfully timed around the racing, guest will enjoy a three-course lunch in the Luncheon Tent. The afternoon continues with a traditional Henley tea by the river. Once the final race concludes, guests return to The Relais Henley to unwind, ahead of an apéritif and a paired dinner to round off the day, with the option to depart or stay overnight at their leisure. Consider this your cue to join us as we row into one of the British summertime’s defining highlights... Simply scroll down to explore the full itinerary, accommodation details, the all-important dress code, and to reserve your place.ITINERARY
