Classic red Burgundy with Château de Laborde and owner Hervé Kerlann – Wednesday 12th November
£125.00 – £140.00Price range: £125.00 through £140.00Think classic red Burgundy and the silky charm of Gevrey-Chambertin and Chambolle-Musigny tend to spring readily to mind. We’re delighted, then, to introduce an evening exploring the two appellations via a domaine very much on the up… The estate of Château de Laborde can trace its history back to the 12th century, while the château itself dates back to 1678, and was making wines soon after that. Sadly, it fell into ruin after the French Revolution and was largely neglected for much of the following two centuries. That all changed when Hervé Kerlann bought the property in 1998 and immediately set about renovating the estate. He restored the château, expanded the vineyards and in 2016 built a new winery in which to vinify the six hectares of vines that he has accrued, which are focused largely on small parcels within Gevrey-Chambertin and Chambolle Musigny. From these he produces wines that are classic in their make-up but contemporary in their style. Vinification is traditional, with the fruit destemmed and fermented at a relatively cool temperature to extract elegant tannins. The wines are then aged for 12-18 months in 228-litre Burgundian barrels, yielding refined and authentic examples of their respective terroir. Born in Morocco, brought up in Bordeaux, and spending much of his early career in Quebec and Vancouver before setting up a wine distribution business in Asia, Hervé brings a cosmopolitan perspective to his wines. Still extremely driven in his 70s, he has made the revival of Château Laborde his third act – we invite you to join him to enjoy his stories and his wines… The wines we will be tasting: 2015 Gevrey-Chambertin, Vieilles Vignes, Château de Laborde (from magnum) 2017 Gevrey-Chambertin, En Dérée, Château de Laborde 2017 Gevrey-Chambertin, 1er Cru Goulots, Château de Laborde 2018 Gevrey-Chambertin, Aux Etelois, Château de Laborde 2019 Gevrey-Chambertin, Billards, Château de Laborde 2020 Chambolle-Musigny, Château de Laborde 2020 Chambolle-Musigny, 1er Cru Borniques, Château de Laborde 2020 Gevrey-Chambertin, 1er Cru Corbeaux, Château de Laborde Wednesday 12th November St. James’s Room 18:30 - Welcome reception 19:00 - Masterclass begins 20:30 - Masterclass endsSelect options This product has multiple variants. Château Chauvin – Grand Cru Classé star of Saint-Émilion – Wednesday 8th February
£85.00Sylvie Cazes, of the famed Cazes family of Château Lynch-Bages, was the first member of her family to buy an estate on Bordeaux’s Right Bank. In 2014, she and her children (Julie, Pierre and François Régimbeau) crossed the river to purchase Château Chauvin, a 15ha property situated in the north-west of Saint-Émilion, close to the border with Pomerol, and which has been a Grand Cru Classé since the first classification of Saint-Émilion wines in 1955. Sylvie’s arrival prompted a major overhaul of the estate, both in the cellar and the vineyard, where detailed studies led to significant and strategic replanting. The vineyard today sits on soil that echoes Pomerol and comprises a single block which surrounds the château; it is given over to 75% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon. Sylvie is one of Bordeaux’s most well-known and dynamic women. As well as owning Château Chauvin, she is president of the advisory board of Château Lynch-Bages, owner of Le Chapon Fin restaurant in Bordeaux, and president of la Cité du Vin. This is a rare and wonderful opportunity for Members to not only taste the wines of this great Saint-Émilion estate, but also spend time with Sylvie herself. Beatles B sides and A list English Wines with Nelson Pari Mmus and Richard Bampfield MW
£120.00Everyone is familiar with Beatles favourites ‘Hey Jude’, ‘Love Me Do’ and ‘Get Back’ - the gateway drugs to their myriad back-catalogue gems. The fab four have undisputedly shaped what music is today since their formation in 1960, but arguably their lasting impact can mostly be found on under-the-radar tunes hidden at the end of the acclaimed albums that we love. Following on from our previous sell-out music masterclasses hosted by Nelson Pari Mmus and Richard Bampfield MW, we are delighted to welcome back the dynamic duo for their third complete music and wine monograph. With Nelson on guitar and Richard on vocals, our hosts will pose the questions: ‘how do these tracks sound when paired with stunning examples of English sparkling wines? Will their meteoric rises to fame compare? And how do they both challenge the perception of classical methods?’ Join us as we explore each glass and song in tandem, in a distinctive tasting exclusive to 67 Pall Mall. Encore… If you struggle with booking a ticket via our website for any reason, please contact our team contacting [email protected]. Champagne Doyard Masterclass with Guillaume Doyard – Friday 7th October
£100.0067 Pall Mall will be welcoming Guillaume Doyard to the club on 7th October for a masterclass of the Domaine’s Champagnes, as well as a Coteaux Champenois. The Doyard family traces their winemaking roots in Champagne back to 1677 when a marriage license of Jean-Baptise Doyard showed “winegrower” as the occupation. Guillaume is the twelfth generation of his family, farming nine hectares of Premier Cru and Grand Cru Chardonnay vines on the Côte des Blancs, and one hectare of Pinot Noir in the Grand Cru village of Aÿ. The domaine employs organic farming in the vines, with most of the vineyards worked by horse. Yields are kept very low, adding to the concentrated intensity that defines the estate’s style. In the cellar, state of the art double-banked Coquard PAI presses are employed to get the cleanest and most delicate juice possible and every parcel is vinified separately in barrel. All of the wines undergo very long lees aging before disgorgement — a minimum of 48 months on all cuvées — which truly sets them apart from much of Champagne and is a key component to achieve the incredible complexity and depth that is found throughout their magnificent line-up. This will be a unique opportunity to meet the Winemaker, taste some exceptional large format pours, and better understand the philosophy that is the backbone of this “Grower Champagne”. We hope to see you there… The wines we will be tasting: NV Vendémiaire 1er Cru Blanc de Blancs from magnum NV Révolution Grand Cru Blanc de Blancs from magnum 2014 Clos de l’Abbaye 1er Cru Blanc de Blancs 2018 Œil de Perdrix Grand Cru Rosé 2007 Millésime Grand Cru Blanc de Blancs from magnum 2008 Les Lumiéres Grand Cru 2020 Vieux Fombrés 1er Cru Coteaux Champenois La Libertine Friday 7th October St James’s Room 18:30 - Glass on arrival 20:30 – Tasting endsRead more -

The 67 Sessions: an evening of wine, words and music – Thursday 4th September
£0.00At 67 Pall Mall, we love finding new ways to bring people together to share fine wine. On Thursday 4th September, for one night only, we invite Members to join us at Westminster’s gorgeous Sinfonia Smith Square for an exquisite three-course pairing dinner accompanied by a wine-inspired jazz trio and words of wisdom from renowned wine writer Andrew Jefford. Among the audience will be some of the world’s foremost wine communicators, in town for the following day’s 67 Pall Mall Global Wine Communicator Awards. There can be no more apposite speaker, then, than the widely acclaimed Andrew Jefford, something of a doyen of the wine writing world, known for his cerebral regular columns in Decanter, and as the author of several much-garlanded books. The evening begins with Act I: Blend, and a glass of Laurent-Perrier Héritage, the house’s new prestige cuvée, along with some words from Laurent-Perrier followed by our Head of Wine Asia – and brainfather of the 67 Awards – Richard Hemming MW. Cabaret-style seating will accommodate tables of up to five guests, where your first course will be served as our illustrious trio swings through its first set. Act II: A Matter of Interpretation brings a pair of superb Chablis to the table: two versions of Montée de Tonnerre 1er Cru from local legends Lucien Le Moine and Julien Brocard. With Zaltos in hand, Alex Hunt MW from Berkmann Wine Cellars will introduce the wines before the ever-eloquent Andrew will deliver his first short discourse on this theme. Then, the band will strike up again as we enjoy our second course. After a short break, Act III: The Art of the Trio opens with Scala Dei ‘Prior’ 2021 and San Leonardo 2017, showcasing a pair of masterful three-grape blends from Priorat and Trentino respectively. Following some more bons mots from Alex and Andrew, another dreamy jazz set will accompany our delicious third course. Our jazz trio comprises Champagne specialist Tom Hewson on piano, former 67 Sommelier Nelson Pari on guitar and honorary wine pro Tom Farmer on bass – with a special guest appearance from Trish Clowes on saxophone. By the time the evening ends, we promise to send you into the late-summer evening with a satisfied stomach, a stimulated mind and a joyful soul. Louis Roederer Cristal Vertical Tasting hosted by Essi Avellan MW & Jean-Baptiste Lécaillon | Thursday 18th November
£788.00Join us in the St. James’s Room for a very special tasting of fifteen Louis Roederer Cristal Blancs from 1988 to 2013 – 6 from magnum including 1 Vinotheque & 1 from Jeroboam. Hosted by Essi Avellan MW and Jean-Baptiste Lécaillon, only 20 tickets are available to purchase for this unique tasting, thus Members are advised to secure their ticket early to avoid disappointment. Members will have the opportunity to use a live scoring app, and there will be plenty of time for questions to both Essi and Jean-Baptiste. In 1876, Russia's Tsar Alexander II, a long-time lover of Louis Roederer wines, asked the producer to create a special cuvée for his personal use which was unique in both its style and bottle design. Dissatisfied with standard champagne bottles that concealed the beautiful colour and effervescence from the eye, he requested that his personal cuvée be served in transparent crystal glass bottles with a flat bottom to foil the insertion of explosives by would-be assassins. Thus, Louis Roederer selected the best vines from seven Grand Crus on his estate and Cristal, the first prestige cuvée, was born. Now world-famous, Cristal is produced only from the truly great vintages in which the ripeness of the Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes can provide the subtle and precise balance that is now the distinction of this cuvée. Between 20-30% of the wines are vinified in oak barrels and the final blend is matured for six years in the cellars and rests for twelve months after disgorgement. Since the year 2000 the Cristal vineyards have been converting to biodynamic farming methods and since 2012 all the Cristal Estate vineyards, all 45 plots have been farmed biodynamically. Cool-climate California Pinot Noir with winemaker Ross Cobb – Friday 6th February
£85.00In an age of rising temperatures, the term ‘cool-climate’ is being adopted by more and more regions in an attempt to signpost balance in their wines. It wasn’t really a thing back in 1989 when David Cobb, a marine biologist, and his wife Diane, an advertising executive, were dreaming of a retirement spent overlooking a vineyard by the ocean. They scoured long and hard along the California coastline to find their dream site to plant Pinot Noir, eventually settling on a spot a few miles from Bodega Bay on the Sonoma Coast that isn’t so much ‘cool’ as ‘extreme’. After happily selling their grapes to the likes of Williams Seylem for several years, their son Ross ended up carving out a career as a winemaker with Flowers, Hirsch and – yep, Williams Seylem. There he became convinced of the quality of the family vineyard, eventually persuading his parents not only to start making their own wine, but to plant a few other vineyards too. Today, that maritime climate, allied to smart winemaking via some judicious use of whole bunches and French oak, has established the Cobb Pinots as among California’s most delicate expressions of minerality and elegance. Ross will be joining us on a Friday evening in February to host two informal, standing tastings of a clutch of his wines, starting with a lithe, energetic Chardonnay and a Riesling from the US’s smallest – and arguably the most remote – AVA. The highlight, however, will be the signature Pinots, including a couple of nicely evolving middle-aged vintages. Sign up for the session you’d like to attend via the drop-down below. The wines we will be tasting: 2021 Riesling, Cole Ranch Vineyard, Cobb Wines, Mendocino 2023 Chardonnay, Mes Filles Vineyard, Cobb Wines, Sonoma Coast 2021 Pinot Noir, Cobb Wines, Sonoma Coast 2017 Pinot Noir, Swan & Calera, Doc’s Ranch Vineyard, Cobb Wines, Sonoma Coast 2017 Pinot Noir, Rice-Spivak Vineyard, Cobb Wines, Sonoma Coast 2019 Pinot Noir, Emmaline Ann Vineyard, Cobb Wines, Sonoma Coast 2021 Pinot Noir, Diane Cobb, Coastlands Vineyard, Cobb Wines, Sonoma Coast Friday 6th February Marlborough Room 18:30 - First session begins 19:45 - First session ends 20:00 - Second session begins 21:30 - Second session endsSelect options This product has multiple variants. Kids’ Sunday & Santa’s Grotto – Sunday 7th December

And we’re very much getting into that frame of mind here at 67. We are beyond excited, then, to invite both Members and mini-Members alike to our Kids’ Sunday & Santa’s Grotto extravaganza, guaranteed to get one and all fully tuned in to the Christmas spirit. While parents and guests (Members may invite up to five) sit back and unwind in the Club with one of our sumptuous roasts, their little ones will enter Christmas nirvana in the St. James’s Room. Burgundy En Primeur 2021 with Honest Grapes – Tuesday 10th January
£60.00We are thrilled to present to our Members an exclusive event where we raise the curtain on Burgundy’s 2021 vintage. The region now dominates the fine wine power lists, so few things get the juices flowing as much as the dawn of a new Burgundy en primeur campaign. We encourage Members to join us and fine wine merchant Honest Grapes to taste a benchmark selection of this fascinating but all too scarce vintage. Spring frosts and other climatic hurdles sent yields plummeting in 2021; indeed, growers were relieved if they ‘escaped the worst’ and brought in 50%-60% of a normal harvest, so collectors will have to react quickly to make sure they get these wines safely into the cellar. This interactive masterclass, hosted by Honest Grapes’ wine director Tom Harrow, will be fuelled by video-recorded insights from the featured winemakers, which include Domaine de Montille, Pierre Meurgey and Jane Eyre. Tom will be showcasing 8-10 wines, born from a vintage which produced refreshing, classically sculpted reds and racy whites which are astonishing in their intensity but are also as rare as hen’s teeth. Members may choose between either an afternoon or evening session but, much like the vintage itself, tickets are in short supply, so we urge you to secure your place as soon as possible. From Pessac-Léognan to Margaux via Tuscany – Haut-Bailly, Giscours & Caiarossa – Friday 13th February
£150.00 – £165.00Price range: £150.00 through £165.00There are a number of husband-and-wife winemaking teams around the world. But it’s rare that a couple should oversee two separate estates, both of global renown – and even rarer that those estates should be a pair of Bordeaux classified growths. Such is the case, however, with Véronique Sanders of Château Haut-Bailly and Alexander Van Beek of Château Giscours. We’re delighted, then, to welcome them both to the Club on a Friday in February for a tasting across both properties, spanning older vintages, large formats and more. When her grandfather sold Pessac-Léognan grand cru classé Château Haut-Bailly in 1998, Véronique Sanders was asked by the new owner to stay on and manage the estate. As President and CEO for the last quarter century or more, she oversees every stage of the wine's life, from the vines to the cellar to the commercial activity. Her undemonstrative yet rigorous, forward-thinking approach has proven perfectly suited to a property which, whether because of its relatively small production or its quintessentially classic style, has always been something of an insider’s choice. Alexander Van Beek arrived at Château Giscours in 1995 at the age of 24, for a single harvest. Three years later, he was entrusted with the management of the Margaux third growth. With roots stretching back to the 14th century, Giscours is one of the largest estates in the appellation, its 100 hectares of vines unusual in being almost entirely grouped in a single block, farmed organically within a 400-hectare agricultural landscape. Both Véronique and Alexander are prominent players across the wider region, serving on the boards of industry bodies including the Union des Grands Crus de Bordeaux and the Commanderie du Bontemps de Médoc, Graves, Barsac et Sauternes. As such they are well placed to offer a broad perspective on the state of play in Bordeaux as a whole. As an added bonus, Alexander will also present three wines from Giscours’ sister property in Tuscany, Caiarossa. Founded in 1998 and farmed biodynamically, the estate is planted to the native Sangiovese, plus Bordeaux varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot, and – unusually – Syrah, which leads the blend in its acclaimed flagship wine. Movie night – ‘Sparkling: The Story of Champagne’ – Wednesday 18th February
£55.00Read moreChampagne rarely needs an introduction, but its story - and the people behind it - is far richer than even its finest cuvées. Sparkling: The Story of Champagne is a beautifully observed documentary that travels beyond the cellars and grandes marques to explore how one region came to define celebration itself.
Filmed on location across Champagne and beyond, the film features a diverse cast of voices, including Vitalie Taittinger, Bruno Paillard and Stephen Fry and takes viewers inside some of the most storied houses in the region: Veuve Clicquot, Moët & Chandon, Pommery, Bollinger and Pol Roger, alongside a new generation of English sparkling wine producers, from Bolney to Balfour, Squerryes to Sugrue. Members may also recognise a familiar setting. 67 Pall Mall served as one of the filming locations, where Sir Nicholas Soames spoke of his grandfather Sir Winston Churchill’s enduring connection to Pol Roger. The film has been warmly received on release, described by the New York Times as 'a lush valentine to French bubbly' while the Chicago Sun-Times noted that it is 'nearly impossible to watch Sparkling and not suddenly have the urge to sip a glass or two.' We intend to lean into that temptation. Join us for a relaxed evening in the Club, with popcorn to hand and a selection of sparkling wines poured during the film - including a range of cuvées from several of the houses featured on screen - proof that some stories are best told with a glass in hand.A short preview of the film can be seen here.
