Live From the Vines: Millton Vineyards and Winery
Hosted by Ronan Sayburn MS & James Millton The Millton Vineyard was established in 1984 by James and Annie Millton with the first vines planted in 1969. As a long established certified organic winegrower in New Zealand, it is one of the oldest Biodynamic winegrowers in the Southern Hemisphere. Microbiology is key to their production and is built up in the soil of the vineyards with use of handmade composts and special preparations made from animal, herbal and mineral products. The Millton’s use minimal chemical antioxidants in the form of sulphur dioxide in the wines and prefer to build upon the biological antioxidants for the enhancement of the life energy in the wines.
