Churchill’s Vintage Port Tasting
£120.00We are excited to announce a vintage library tasting of Churchill’s Port hosted by Churchill’s founder’s son and Churchill’s ambassador, Jamie Graham. Churchill’s is one of the world’s foremost boutique producers of premium Port and Douro wines with a strong focus on vintage port. To this day, Churchill’s is still a founder-led company and the last remaining independent British port house. Johnny Graham founded Churchill’s in 1981 and named the company after his wife, Caroline Churchill. Johnny represents the fifth generation of Graham’s to make port and wine in Portugal. Through Churchill’s, Johnny sought to bring a fresh perspective to the world of port, introducing his own unique dry style to a category surrounded by century old players. Now in its 40th year Churchill’s boasts some exceptional older vintages which Jamie looks forward to sharing with our members. We will welcome Jamie on the 3rd of December, when he will talk to us about the world of port and take us through his family’s ports from the last 4 decades. Expect to taste rare vintages and single quintas which are hard to come by on the market. Jamie has spent his career working in the booze trade and has been a part of the Churchill’s team for the past 3 years. He has recently been working on demystifying port for a new generation of drinkers through Churchill’s latest direct to consumer brand, Port. Club. He looks forward to sharing some insight on this new initiative and talking about the future of port as well. Wine & The Food of Asia
£45.00 – £84.00Price range: £45.00 through £84.00Wine & The Food of Asia is 67 Pall Mall's third book. Authored by Head of Wine Asia, Richard Hemming MW in collaboration with the esteemed At-Sunrice GlobalChef Academy, the book explores the intricate art of pairing wine with Asian cuisine, offering readers original insights into harmonising diverse culinary traditions with the world of wine. Wine & The Food of Asia is the culmination of extensive research, including hundreds of methodical tastings conducted over the course of a year. Featuring more than 400 wines from nearly 100 grape varieties across 20 countries, the book presents 80 iconic Asian recipes paired with an array of wines—from approachable favourites to rare gems—designed to captivate both casual wine enthusiasts and seasoned collectors. At the heart of the book lies a comprehensive exploration of pairing wine with the bold, diverse, and often challenging flavours of Asian cuisine. Richard Hemming MW brings over two decades of experience in viticulture, winemaking, and wine education to this ambitious project. By bridging the worlds of wine and Asian gastronomy, Hemming challenges traditional approaches and offers a fresh perspective on pairing wine with dishes from 13 countries, including India, Nepal, China, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Korea, Japan—and, of course, Singapore. In addition to being a wine reference, Wine & The Food of Asia doubles as a practical kitchen guide. Recipes for beloved dishes such as Pad Thai and Black Pepper Crab, provided by the culinary experts at the At-Sunrice GlobalChef Academy, are accompanied by expertly curated wine pairings. For each recipe, Hemming suggests one primary match along with at least two alternative options, giving readers flexibility and inspiration. “Matching wine with food is about the pursuit of pleasure, not dogma. The most enjoyable part of creating this book was cooking the recipes at home and pairing them with great wines. For me, it’s all about bringing people together to share good food and wonderful wine. That’s the essence of what 67 Pall Mall is about,” shares Richard Hemming MW. Jeannie Cho Lee MW lauds the book, saying, “It was with delight and pleasure that I read this much-needed book. The world of wine is vast and deep; the world of Asian cuisine may be even more complex. Bringing the two together is nothing short of herculean!” Whether used as a wine guide, a cookbook, or a source of inspiration, this book is an essential addition to the collections of wine and food lovers everywhere. The book is priced at £45.00, the pricing below includes shipping. We kindly ask Members who wish to collect their order from Club to indicate their desired date in the order notes.
