Celebrate Alcohol Free with Laura Willoughby MBE and Josh Kelly – Friday 21st October
£45.00Quenching one’s thirst during periods of abstinence has traditionally meant an indecent reliance on lime and soda, beverages which made a mockery of your recommended sugar quota or resorting to their sugar-stripped cousins. Today’s alcohol-free landscape is far more sophisticated, and in this virtuous masterclass - presented by Club Soda, a mindful drinking movement - our Members will join the some 25 million people in the UK seeking to reduce their alcohol intake. Hosted by Club Soda’s founder Laura Willoughby MBE, and its tasting room manager Josh Kelly, this different kind of session will introduce you to award-winning alcohol-free wines, aperitifs and spirits, designed for an adult palate and crafted with food pairings in mind. We look forward to welcoming our Members to the St. James’s Room for this restorative departure from our customary evenings, and for those joining us afterwards in the Clubroom, we won’t tell anyone… If you struggle with booking a ticket via our website for any reason, please contact our team contacting [email protected]. Deep Dive Bordeaux: Pomerol 2.0
Hosted by Jane Anson Despite its modest size - just the 800ha of vineyards - few regions match the cachet of Pomerol, home to titans such as Le Pin and Petrus, making the appellation the super-luxe source of the world’s most valuable wines. Jane Anson, author of Inside Bordeaux, is perfectly placed to shine a light on this vibrant, relatively young region, including the dominance of the Merlot grape, the ‘garage’ movement of the 1990s, Pomerol’s unique blue clay soils and, of course, those red-carpet châteaux. Château La Pointe, Pomerol 2009 Château L’Évangile, Pomerol 2009 Vieux Château Certan, Pomerol 2015 Château Hosanna, Pomerol 2015 Château La Fleur-Pétrus, Pomerol 1998 Château L’Eglise-Clinet, Pomerol 1998Read more -

Fast Food and Fine Wine Dinner – Wednesday 16th July
£195.00We like to think we’re a fairly refined bunch here at 67 – but every now and then, even the most sophisticated palate appreciates a late-night rendezvous with their local burger joint. So for one night only, forget the white tablecloths. Ditch the tasting menus. And join us for an unapologetically indulgent mash-up of fast-food favourites and world-class wines. This is grease meets grand cru, fried chicken meets fine wine. And if anyone is up to the challenge of bringing elegance and sophistication to our favourite fast-food dishes served on a plastic tray, it’s Executive Chef, Dan Page. Just as if anyone is up to keeping things real with their uniquely Australian take on fine dining, it’s our host for the night, former-67-sommelier-turned-events-manager Alex Fenton-Wells. We kick things off dirty and delightful: mini cheeseburgers, mini hot dogs, and about as a refined a take on a Long Island Iced Tea as you can get, mixed by Deputy Head Sommelier, Giacomo Apolloni. Then will it be Champagne with caviar or fizz with fried chicken? Why not both, paired with the Brut Nature Zero from acclaimed grower-producer Tarlant, whose family has been growing grapes since 1687. For the main: tacos and truffle fries, washed down with the 2014 Mazis-Chambertin Grand Cru from Domaine Faiveley (currently celebrating its 200th anniversary) and the more unruly and rambunctious 2022 Au Bon Climat Wild Boy Chardonnay – a wine that embodies the theme of this evening. We finish with churros and dulce de leche perfectly paired with a club favourite, the Alcyone Tannat dessert wine – a wine that pours just like chocolate. So gather your crew and tell them to expect great wine, greasy fingers and napkins tucked into shirts. And much like our jackets-for-gentlemen policy, don’t expect this one to come back any time soon. The wines and food we’ll be serving:Canapés Mini cheeseburgers and hot dogs Paired with Long Island iced tea

Allram Estates Kamptal Masterclass – Monday 6th February
£50.00The award-winning Allram estate lies in the heart of the Kamptal, in the picturesque Strass im Strassertal, and has been one of the leading lights of the region for decades, with holdings in the famous vineyards of Heiligenstein, Gaisberg and Renner. Allram is very much a family enterprise, with father Erich and son Lorenz sharing responsibilities in the vineyards and cellar, whilst mother Michaela and daughter Magdalena oversee the commercial side of the business. It is this family tradition, harmony and the passing on of knowledge through the generations which lies at the root of the Allrams’ ethos. The end result is a range of stunning, organic wines which speak with clarity of their origin and centre on Grüner Veltliner and Riesling, varieties which thrive in the hands of Lorenz, a talented young winemaker who will be guiding Members through his beautiful wines. Deep Dive Bordeaux: Pessac-Léognan
Hosted by Jane Anson The soils of Pessac-Léognan – awash with sand and gravel – arguably provided the genesis of what is today the world’s most celebrated and marketable region: Bordeaux. In 1305, the man who was to become Pope Pape Clément V planted the first vineyard on the estate now known as Château Pape Clément, while in the mid-17th century, the then owners of Château Haut Brion - the only non-Médoc classed growth and where grapes have been cultivated since Roman times – opened an eponymous tavern in London (the Pontac’s Head) as a means of promoting and selling its wines. This is an extraordinary opportunity to taste from these two historic properties as well as four of its esteemed peers. Lead by Bordeaux specialist Jane Anson, this tour of Pessac examines its history, climate and terroir which have coalesced to create not only phenomenal red wines but superlative whites as well. Jasper on Vintage: 2017 – Red
Hosted by Jasper Morris MW Mother Nature takes Burgundy’s vignerons on a white-knuckle ride at the best of times, and in 2016 she was in full flow, with frost driving down yields and leading to an army of jittery winemakers the following year, not least as it appeared 2017 was heading in the same direction. Fortunately, the vintage altered course and the wines of 2017 have been widely lauded, and while it’s the whites which have largely taken the glory, an abundance of terroir-driven, light on their feet and engaging reds have emerged from the year. Bringing his reservoirs of wisdom and expertise to bear, Jasper Morris MW marks your card for this fabulous vintage, adding flesh to the headlines and zeroing in on the appellations to note, proving once again he is your first port of call before any cellars are stocked. By Heart Memory workshop with Anna Barham – Wednesday 8th March
£60.00Continuing our series of art-led cultural events, we are delighted to welcome back artist Anna Barham for another experimental writing workshop. Anna will take Members on a journey through the different strategies of experimental writing which inform her practice. The workshop will focus on the concept of learning something 'by heart'. Think of song lyrics or phone numbers and how once learnt, they seem to be etched inside you, like your name. For a variety of reasons, from the rise of smartphones to changes in educational methods, learning ‘by heart’ can seem somewhat old hat, however, during the workshop, we will consider how the slow and repetitive practice of committing a text to memory can, in fact, open up new ways of reading and thinking. Anna Barham is a London-based artist working between video, sound, print, installation, and performance. Her practice considers language as it moves between different material forms, technologies, and bodies. Her work is in public collections including Tate, V&A, Government Art Collection, MIMA, SFMoMA & CGAC. Anna is currently a practice-based PhD candidate at Ruskin School of Art, University of Oxford. Wednesday 8th March St. James’s Room 18:30 to 20:30 - Champagne and canapés will be servedRead morePlease note, tickets are refundable for cancellations up to 48 hours before the event.
