The Mighty Madeira – our latest arrival…

1980 Blandy’s Madeira Terrantez – there were only three 18L bottles produced, and 67 Pall Mall is home to one of them.

The Terrantez grape is the rarest of all the Madeira grapes, and also produces the most long-lived expressions with examples from the 18th century still drinking beautifully. With its racy acidity, this wine is spicy on the nose and perfumed, with a perfectly sharp edge. This Madeira is auburn in colour, lively and fresh with notes of almonds and stunning scents of orange zest. Absolutely superb, and incredibly pure in the glass.
