Federico has been a key player within the evolution of the wine department at the Club, steadily building his profound knowledge and reputation through years of dedication and experience. Having joined the Club as Assistant Cellar Master for its opening in 2015, he joined the sommelier team, first as Junior Sommelier, rising up the ranks to become Senior Sommelier, Assistant Head Sommelier and Deputy Head Sommelier, before being appointed Head Sommelier in autumn 2022.

As well as developing a close relationship with and understanding of our Members’ tastes and interests, Federico has developed expertise across a wide array of wine regions and styles. However, he is particularly drawn to the diversity of his native Italy, notably the wines of Tuscany and Piedmont, and also has a soft spot for the sparkling wines of Franciacorta.
