Father’s Day – A Spanish afternoon in the Members’ Lounge – Sunday 21st June
Following the success of our recent Italian-themed Sunday lunch, it seemed only fitting to host the second iteration of this immersive afternoon on an important date in the calendar – Father’s Day. On Sunday 21st June, we will be offering exceptional food, wines and music in celebration of the father figures in our lives.
The kitchen will be serving a menu of Spanish classics designed for leisurely Sunday dining – think pan con tomate, paella, patatas bravas and other generous plates. In the glass, Head Sommelier & Lounge Operations Elton Muço selected pours that showcase modern Spanish winemaking at its finest. Highlights include the beautifully evolved 2016 Gran Reserva from Olagar Remírez de Ganuza alongside the 2018 Flor de Pingus, Dominio de Pingus – a Ribera del Duero bottling whose reputation rarely arrives quietly.
To accompany the afternoon, Hetty and the Jazzato Band will perform a Spanish-inspired set blending together Spanish and South American favourites with selections from the Great American Songbook – the sort of soundtrack best enjoyed with a second glass already on the table.
