Join us for a four-day journey through Sicily’s vibrant terroirs – from the slopes of Mount Etna to the coastal charm of Taormina. Explore some of the island’s most exciting wineries, enjoy intimate dinners among the vines and experience the thrill of a guided jeep adventure across Etna’s volcanic terrain.

ACCOMMODATION


Nestled on the slopes of Dimora Cottanera, is a restored country estate offering views of  the surrounding vineyards and the mountain beyond. The cuisine turns tradition into modern celebration – seasonal, Sicilian-rooted dishes prepared with local ingredients, classic methods and a contemporary touch, all served in an authentic and intimate atmosphere.

Day 1

Thursday 17th September 2026

– Members arrive at Catania Airport, greeted by host Filippo Magnani and a 67 Pall Mall London sommelier.
– Begin the trip with lunch at Benanti Estate, a family-run winery at the foot of Mount Etna, celebrated for reviving Sicily’s indigenous grape varieties.
– After the lunch, travel by private coach to your home for the extended weekend, the Cottanera Wine Resort and check-in amid views of Etna’s volcanic slopes.
– Once settled, enjoy a private tour of the Cottanera estate and winery, discovering its volcanic terroir and winemaking philosophy.
– The day concludes with dinner at the resort, featuring a tasting menu paired with the estate’s finest wines.

Day 2

Friday 18th September 2026

– The following morning begins with a private visit and tasting at Tenuta delle Terre Nere, renowned for its terroir-driven wines.
– Continue by coach to Passopisciaro, home to visionary winemaker Andrea Franchetti’s expressive high-altitude crus.
– In the evening, head to the historic village of Randazzo for an aperitif in the piazza, before a dinner at Graci Estate, co-partnered with Piedmont legend Angelo Gaja, where Sicilian cuisine is paired with the estate’s modern expressions of Etna’s terroir.

Day 3

Saturday 19th September 2026

– The final day offers a sense of adventure with a Jeep excursion on Mount Etna, combining scenic drives and gentle walks to explore the volcano’s dramatic landscapes.
– Enjoy a lunch at Tenuta di Fessina, a boutique estate acclaimed for its refined interpretation of Etna’s native grapes, before transferring to Taormina, Sicily’s jewel overlooking the Ionian Sea.
– Stroll through Taormina’s old town, soaking in its coastal charm, before a relaxed aperitif with sea views.
– Farewell dinner in Taormina, joined by two local producers for an evening of fine food, wine and conversation.

Sunday 20th September 2026

– Check out and departure from the hotel.

MEET OUR HOST

Filippo Magnani is a wine tourism pioneer and seasoned wine expert. After earning a degree in Hotel and Tourism Management in Florence and an MBA in Hospitality Management in the UK, in 1999 Filippo launched Fufluns, a bespoke travel boutique specialising in wine tours across Tuscany and Italy. A WSET Diploma holder since 2006, he is a noted wine writer and contributor to publications including Decanter and Wine Tourism, a member of the Circle of Wine Writers, and shares his passion for wine further through his blog, Tales Behind the Wine.
