MEET OUR HOSTS, FILIPPO MAGNANI & GIACOMO APOLLONI

Born and raised in Suvereto, a beautiful, unspoilt medieval village on the coast of Tuscany, Filippo began the career in the world of wine in 1999 when, at the age of 26, he founded Fufluns, a travel boutique concierge company specialising in customized wine tours in Italy. He earned a degree in 2001 at Le Conseil Interprofessionnel du Vin de Bordeaux, before studying for the WSET Diploma. An independent wine writer, he contributes to multiple prominent wine publications.

Members will be familiar with Deputy Head Sommelier Giacomo Apolloni, who was born and raised in Versilia, Tuscany.

Giacomo has worked in Michelin star environments for many of his years as an ambitious sommelier, and works alongside Elton Muco and Federico to lead our sommelier team at the Club. When not on the floor, you can usually find him studying or visiting wine regions, drinking in ever more vinous knowledge to share with our Members.
