Behind Bordeaux’s Greatest Cellar Doors – Monday 23rd – Friday 27th March 2026

We are incredibly excited to announce our 2026 Members’ trip to Bordeaux, where a spectacular itinerary offers a rare chance to go behind the doors of some of the most famous estates in Bordeaux. Hosted by Bordeaux resident and MW Mini Constant, Members will enjoy paired lunches at the châteaux, as well as Michelin-starred restaurants.

Discover the great growths of the Médoc and indulge in Sauternes, as well as the top-rated right bank and Pessac-Léognan estates. As well as going inside these renowned estates, Members will also enjoy an afternoon on the coast by the impressive Dune de Pilat and a tour of our future Bordeaux Club.

Join us from 23rd – 27th March 2026 as we bring Members to the some of the most legendary vineyards in the world.

ITINERARY

Day 1 – Monday 23rd March 2026 – Médoc 

– We will commence our tour with a tasting at Château Lascombes, recognised as a 2nd Growth in the Classification of 1855, Lascombes today is one of the largest vineyard owners among the classified growths.
– Lunch follows in the Orangerie of Château Branaire-Ducru with a magnificent selection of vintages: 2016, 2010, 2000 and the exquisite 1996.
– We move on to a private visit to Château Duhart-Milon by kind invitation of the Rothschild family.
– Returning to Bordeaux by 18:30, where guests are free to make your own dinner arrangements.


Day 2 – Tuesday 24th March 2026 – St-Émilion

Our day starts at one of the stars of the Right Bank, Château Angelus, for a tasting. We have a personal invitation from the owner Stéphanie de Boüard-Rivoal and although she may not be available herself that day we will be warmly welcomed.
– A three-course paired lunch follows at a brasserie-style restaurant in the centre of Saint-Émilion.
In the afternoon, we visit Clos Fourtet. Built in the Middle Ages as a defensive fort and positioned on a limestone plateau, Clos Fourtet produces wines known for their freshness and delicacy. Guests will also explore the vast 13-hectre underground limestone cave network beneath.
– Next, a visit to Château Bélair-Monange, an amalgamation of two estates, Bélair and Magdelaine, whose wines not only have the finesse and freshness imparted by the limestone soils but also great density and depth.
After our final visit, there will be time to explore the UNESCO World Heritage surroundings of Saint-Émilion village.
– Dinner that evening will be at the one Michelin-starred Logis de La Cadène, a charming restaurant in the centre of St. Emilion, which has the same owner as Angélus. We will start with Champagne before enjoying wines made by various members of the Boüard family to complement the 5-course menu which highlights local produce. Returning to Bordeaux after dinner, arriving approximately 23:30.

Day 3 – Wednesday 25th March 2026 – Pessac-Léognan

– The morning begins with a tour of Domaine de Chevalier with the estate manager, followed by a tasting of its white and red – both of which are classified.
– Lunch follows at Château Haut-Bailly – a sumptuous 4-course lunch paired with the wines from the estate.
– Tasting and tour at Château La Mission Haut-Brion, sister property to Château Haut-Brion and considered by many to be of First Growth quality.
Following this visit, you will have a chance to have a hard hat tour of the site that is being transformed into 67 Pall Mall Bordeaux, accompanied by an aperitif and light bites with the 67 Bordeaux team at Passage Sarget next door.
– Tour concludes at 19:30, after which time you are free to make your own dinner arrangements.


Day 4 – Thursday 26th March 2026 – Blending and Sauternes

We begin the day with a two-hour visit with a tour of the estate, vineyards and cellars of Château Pape-Clément, one of the oldest estates on the Left Bank. The visit includes a wine blending session where guests will create their own Cabernet Sauvignon/Merlot blend to take home.
– Lunch at the 2 Michelin-starred restaurant of Château Lafaurie-Peyraguey, with wines of the estate matched to the meal. After lunch we will have a tour and then a tasting with four of the First Growth Château Lafaurie-Peyraguey wines: 2015, 2005, 2000 and an older vintage.
– Returning to Bordeaux at approximately 17:30, after which time you are free to make your own plans for the evening.

Day 5 – Friday 27th March 2026 – Péssac-Leognan and the coast

Our last morning starts at Château Smith Haut Lafitte, one of the leading châteaux in Pessac-Léognan, for a tour and tasting. The stunning winery has an underground cellar and its own cooperage.
– Following this, we head for the coast near Arcachon for a leisurely seafood lunch overlooking the ocean and the Dune of Pilat.
– We will return to Bordeaux via the airport (airport arrival by 17:00) then the train station (train station arrival by 18:00), before returning to the hotels in the centre of town for those staying on in Bordeaux.

MEET OUR HOST

Mini Constant MW joined her university wine tasting team while studying Politics and Economics, where a passion quickly evolved into a profession. She began her career in London at Harrods’ wine department before moving into the restaurant world as a sommelier in the City. Her path then led her to Oporto with the Symington family – custodians of historic Port houses including Warre’s, Dow’s and Graham’s. In 1987, Mini relocated to France, establishing herself as a sourcing agent for South-West French wines for the UK trade. Since 2003, she has run her own business, Tastevin du Monde, encompassing WSET education in Bordeaux and Shanghai, bespoke wine blending and vineyard advisory work focused on complexity, sustainability and climate resilience, alongside curating refined, immersive wine journeys across France and Spain.
