A 12-day exploration of Chile, Argentina and Uruguay

Monday 9th November – Friday 20th November 2026

Chile and Argentina – 9th – 17th November
Uruguay – 17th – 20th November

The final journey in our 2026 travel calendar is a 12-day exploration across South America, taking in the wine landscapes of Chile, Argentina and Uruguay.

From the maritime vineyards shaped by the Pacific to the high-altitude terraces of the Andes, and onwards to the emerging Río de la Plata, this itinerary offers a perspective on both the diversity and ongoing evolution of South American wine. Throughout the journey, Members will have the opportunity to meet the people behind both established icons and pioneering new labels via a host of private tastings, vineyard access and producer-led experiences with a culinary itinerary to match.

Visits will take in some of the continent’s standout names, including Clos Apalta, Catena Zapata, Zuccardi and Susana Balbo, alongside an evening hosted by South American wine expert and friend of the Club, Amanda Barnes MW.

You will notice there are two price points below, reflecting the two parts of the trip. Part one takes us through Chile and Argentina, and part two takes us onto Uruguay to complete the 12-day excursion. Members have the option to join us for the first 9 days, or the full 12 days which includes Uruguay.

ITINERARY

Day 1 – Monday 9th November 2026 | Santiago to Colchagua Valley

– We begin in Santiago, where Members are welcomed by a 67 host and our tour guide Cindy-Marie Harvey, before travelling south to the Curicó Valley. Our first visit is to Miguel Torres, one of wine’s earliest international arrivals in Chile. Over lunch at the estate, we explore a range of wines, including expressions of the historic País grape variety.
– Following lunch, we continue to Santa Cruz in the Colchagua Valley, where we check in for a two-night stay at the Santa Cruz Plaza. Set on the town’s central square, the hotel offers a well-located and comfortable base from which to explore one of Chile’s most important wine regions.
– In the evening, we dine at the hotel, where a menu of classic Chilean dishes is paired with a selection of wines specially chosen to provide an overview of the country’s winemaking landscape.

Day 2 – Tuesday 10th November 2026 | Apalta Valley

– We begin the day with a journey to Apalta, the highly regarded sub-region of Colchagua, where we visit Neyen estate for a tasting of its Cabernet and Carmenère-based wines and get a close-up view of their regenerative farming practices.
– We then continue to the renowned Montes, one of South America’s most dynamic estates, producing some of Chile’s ultra-premium wines. A tasting of its range, including the flagship cuvées, is followed by a relaxed vineyard lunch.
– The afternoon is at leisure in Santa Cruz, with time to unwind, before an evening visit to Clos Apalta, the acclaimed boutique estate founded by the Lapostolle family, to taste its range of Bordeaux-inspired blends over an intimate dinner.

Day 3 – Wednesday 11th November 2026 | Colchagua to Maipo Valley

– After breakfast, we depart for Cono Sur, a forward-thinking producer recognised for its commitment to sustainability and site-specific expression. Following a vineyard tour and tasting, we enjoy lunch at the estate.
– We then continue north to Isla de Maipo, where we stay at the private estate of Viña Tarapacá, set between the foothills of the Andes and the Maipo River. The evening begins with an aperitif of traditional-method sparkling wine, followed by dinner with matching wines, taken overlooking the gardens.

Day 4 – Thursday 12th November 2026 | San Antonio Valley

– We travel west towards the coast to the San Antonio Valley, where we visit the boutique estate Casa Marin, founded by María Luz Marín who has since been joined by her son, Felipe, as winemaker. Located just 5km from the Pacific, the vineyards benefit from maritime influence, producing mineral-driven wines of notable salinity. Over lunch at the estate, we’ll explore key varieties including Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc and Gewürztraminer, each reflecting the site’s distinctive microclimate.
– Returning to Tarapacá, the afternoon is at leisure before we reconvene for a blending session, offering the opportunity to create your own wine.
– The day concludes with a relaxed barbecue on the estate, with the possibility of viewing the Southern Cross as night falls.

Day 5 – Friday 13th November 2026 | Santiago to Mendoza

– We transfer to Santiago Airport for our flight across the Andes to Mendoza, Argentina. On arrival, we continue to the Uco Valley, the Mendoza sub-region known for yielding its highest-quality wines.
– Our first visit is to Piedra Negra, the high-altitude project of Bordelais vigneron François Lurton, in Los Chacayes, where we will enjoy a private tasting discovering precise expressions of Malbec and Cabernet, alongside the aromatic white, Torrontés.
– We continue to check in at our hotel for two nights – Casa de Uco, a working winery and a retreat set within its own high-altitude vineyards. Following a vineyard visit, the evening takes a more informal turn with an empanada-making session, before dinner paired with wines from the surrounding valley.

Day 7 – Sunday 15th November 2026 | Uco Valley to Mendoza

– Our morning visit is to Salentein, home to some of the highest planted vineyards in the world, reaching as far as 1,700 metres above sea level, where we’ll enjoy a relaxed lunch.
– We then continue to Mendoza for a two-night stay at the Park Hyatt, Mendoza, centrally located and well positioned for exploring the city.
– In the evening, we are joined by Amanda Barnes MW who will pick out a selection of Argentine wines over an intimate dinner. MEET OUR HOST

Cindy-Marie first travelled to South America’s wine regions in 1997, and has returned many times since. Cindy-Marie has seen Chile’s vineyards expand from a handful of regions to plantings spanning the country from the Atacama Desert to Chiloé, and she first visited the Uco Valley when grapes were still vinified in Mendoza. Argentina now enjoys its emergence as a leading wine region in its own right. Cindy-Marie has also led numerous tours in Uruguay, where she has a particular interest in sharing its evolving wine scene beyond Tannat, including varieties such as Albariño.
