World Tour of Syrah, with Richard Hemming MW – Thursday 20th April

Syrah’s biggest fan (and our Head of Wine in Singapore) makes his debut at the London Club to showcase the variety that expresses terroir with as much fidelity as Pinot Noir – and far better reliability. Across seven countries, Richard will show the many faces of Syrah, covering all styles from the svelte peppery fragrance of cool-climate Syrah to rock-solid Aussie Shiraz bursting with dark fruit and rich complexity. Legendary names such as Kongsgaard from California and Chapoutier’s Le Pavillon Hermitage demonstrate the zenith of Syrah, while producers such as Blank Canvas and Mullineux represent the new frontier of the variety.
