Germany was always considered to be one of the finest wine-producing countries in the world, with Riesling prices similar to those of first growth Bordeaux in the early 1900’s. In the 1960’s and 1970’s, German wines fell out of fashion mainly due to the pursuit of higher yields. However, this wine producing nation had made a comeback and seeks to retake its position at the top table of fine wine production.
