We are delighted to invite Members to join our friends from Nyetimber for a fun and instructive blind tasting of some of the finest prestige cuvées from around the world.
Twenty years ago, English producers established sparkling wine, made in the Champagne style, as their calling card, the country’s vinous USP. Then, over the last decade, the country’s leading lights have taken the next step, launching limited-edition bottlings to compete with Champagne’s established grand marques.
Especially for English Wine Week, we are pitting the two most high-profile examples against Champagne’s most renowned prestige cuvées and the top méthode champenoise bottlings from Italy – all tasted blind. Can you pick out Krug and DP from the most elite examples of English fizz – including Nyetimber’s ultra-ambitious 1086?
Join us for an eye-opening evening – and take the Nyetimber Challenge.
