Dive deep into one of the most intriguing wine countries of the New World — Uruguay!
Uruguayan wine expert and author of the award-winning tome, The South America Wine Guide, Amanda Barnes will be taking Members deep into the fascinating world of Uruguayan wine.
Unlike its neighbouring wine countries, Uruguay has a maritime Atlantic climate that sets it a world apart from the wines of Chile and Argentina. In this masterclass, Amanda will explore the distinctive identity of Uruguayan wines while introducing Members to some of the key producers, varieties and top terroirs.
Through this epic 12-wine tasting, Amanda will be walking Members through the dynamic wine scene in Uruguay with a handful of new producers, as well as tasting through some of the bona fide classics and most age-worthy wines of this emerging region.
For those who are keen to explore the wines of South America further, Amanda will have copies of The South America Wine Guide available for purchase on the evening.
