Private exhibition view | In Vino Veritas – Tuesday 30th June
As lovers of wine in all its forms, we are delighted to invite Members to an intimate, Member-only viewing of a special exhibition, In Vino Veritas: The Visual Rhetoric of Wine, newly opened at our neighbouring gallery, Colnaghi London.
Centred on the role of wine within the Western iconographic tradition, the exhibition brings together archaeological artefacts alongside Old Master paintings and sculpture. It traces wine’s evolution from its place within communal and ritual contexts to its later use as a vehicle for allegorical and symbolic meaning.
During the evening, a small group of Members will enjoy a guided tour of the exhibition led by its curator, Federico Bonezzi. Federico will explore how wine is represented within a broader visual language concerned with excess, transformation, and the transience of sensory experience.
Joining him will be our own Federico Moccia, Head of Wine Operations. At three key works, Federico will pour a wine from the region associated with each artwork, exploring the connections between the wine in the glass and the visual and cultural themes expressed in the work itself.
This promises to be a fascinating evening examining wine through both artistic and sensory perspectives.

For those who are unable to join us on the evening, the exhibition is open to the public on weekdays until 31st July 2026.
Please note, tickets are refundable for cancellations up to 5 business days before the event. Cancellations must be made in writing to [email protected]. Any cancellations within 5 business days of the event are non-refundable unless 67 Pall Mall resells the ticket to another Member. This is only possible when the event is sold out and there is a waiting list.
