A ‘wine without borders’ policy reigns at Live from the Vines, with no corner of the winemaking world off-limits when it comes to bringing you behind-the-cellar door access to the finest producers and their wines.
However, this edition comes from 67 Pall Mall’s backyard (almost) and sees Master of Wine Richard Bampfield head to Sussex and visit Ridgeview, one of England’s most established and celebrated sparkling wine producers.
The chalk-infused landscape of the South Downs has been Ridgeview’s home for over two decades, during which time it has filled one trophy cabinet after another with awards from around the world.
Bampfield meets Ridgeview’s head winemaker, Simon Roberts, to discuss the ingredients behind his family winery’s success and to taste through an effervescent triumvirate of its spectacular wines, which is also available as a tasting kit to our digital members.
