Klein Constantia has gone through many iterations since its genesis in 1685, but having seen itself referenced in works by both Charles Dickens and Jane Austen, this land has rarely been far away from centre stage.
In addition to touching on its occasionally turbulent past, Demetri Walters MW delves into the soils and cellars of Klein Constantia with its managing director Hans Aström and winemaker Matt Day.
Particular attention is paid to the legendary sweet wine, Vin de Constance, which was revived by the estate, has been instrumental in forging its reputation and marks the finale to the accompanying set of fabulous wines available to our digital members.
