Live from the Vines: Château Ksara
Hosted by Demetri Walters MW, Elie Maamari & Michael Karam
Uncover Château Ksara, Lebanon’s oldest winery. Founded during the Ottoman Empire, a survivor of famine, two World Wars and regional upheaval is a winery that has never missed a harvest. Continuing a story of endurance, the Château is now leading the way in the resuscitation of Lebanon’s wine industry, after the catastrophic explosion in Beirut in August of 2020. We join Demetri Walter MW for a fascinating conversation with owner Elie Maamari, and Lebanese wine expert and author Michael Karam, where we learn more about this diverse group of vineyards located in the heart of the Bekaa Valley.
