In this episode we venture to an exceptional site on elevated land near the Gorges de Pennafort, to visit Château d’Esclans. Our host Jane Anson dives into the only original 12th century element left of the Château, the Cellar, to uncover the unique history of this predominantly grenache producing winery. known for its old Grenache vines, producing grapes that offer great concentration of flavour, where the highest elevated vines are as old as 90 years, we are guided by Jane for an exemplary rosé tasting from the winery.
