Blend and bottle your own wine – Thursday 29th June
Have you ever wondered what goes into making the perfect blend – and just what are the key elements to consider when deciding the proportions of different grape varieties? Well now is your chance to find out…
We are thrilled to offer Members an experience that will be on many, if not all, of our wish lists: the chance to blend your own wine, and have it winery-bottled with your very own customised label.
Howard’s Folly owns and manages vineyards across Portugal, largely working with indigenous grapes, and it is these native varieties which will form the backbone of this very special evening. Members will have at their disposal wine samples of Alicante Bouschet, Touriga Nacional and Aragonez (aka Tempranillo), as well as an idiosyncratic vinhas velhas field blend made from bush vines over 100 years old.
Members will be taught the characteristics of each grape and how they will affect the blend. They will then be schooled in the building blocks of blending which will provide them with a starting point from which they can explore and refine their own cuvée.
After finalising your blend on the night, Members will have the option to have it bottled in their preferred quantity with their own bespoke label, for delivery in September. Kindly note that this optional service is at an additional cost to the ticket price.

Please note, tickets are refundable for cancellations up to 48 hours before the event. Cancellations must be made in writing to [email protected]. Any cancellations within 48 hours of the event are non-refundable unless 67 Pall Mall resells the ticket to another Member. This is only possible when the event is sold out and there is a waiting list.
