Cigars & wine night at James J. Fox -Thursday 19th November
Wine and cigars share fascinating parallels in their production and craftsmanship, as well as a particular talent for turning an ordinary evening into an occasion. Both are shaped by terroir, craftsmanship and the patient influence of time. Members are invited to join us just a stone’s throw from the Club at James J. Fox on St. James’s Street for an evening exploring the rather natural conversation between the two.
We’ll begin with Champagne before moving to a white and a red wine chosen by Sommelier Nico Casetta and Head of Wine Operations Federico Moccia to complement the cigars, accompanied by two cigars selected specifically for the occasion by the team at James J. Fox. The first, the James J. Fox Selección No.1, is a light to medium-bodied Honduran and Nicaraguan cigar designed to be smoked for a leisurely 25 minutes. Alongside it, the Romeo y Julieta Short Churchill offers a fuller, medium-bodied Cuban expression and enough complexity to keep you occupied for around 45 minutes.
Rather than a formal masterclass, the evening will take the form of a conversation. Our host from James J. Fox will guide us through the cigars, their history and construction, while Nico will explore why certain wines prove particularly agreeable companions.
As a parting gift, each guest will receive a James J. Fox cigar lighter, cutter and cigar tube containing an additional cigar.

Any cancellations within 5 business days of the event are non-refundable unless 67 Pall Mall resells the ticket to another Member. This is only possible when the event is sold out and there is a waiting list.
