Ginification…A gin Masterclass with Gin Foundry

Gin Foundry’s ethos is simple; ‘The words we share with our readers are not paid for nor anything other than our own opinion – for better and for worse’.

The similarities between making gin and making wine are plentiful and fascinating. Gin makers have a ‘story’, and more often than not, have tried their hand at wine making, and use their knowledge of terroir to assist in the craft of gin making. Some makers use grapes such as Riesling and Shiraz to infuse their gin and use old wine casks in production.

We are incredibly excited to welcome Gin Foundry to the Club on the day of London’s Gin Festival, who will guide Members through a gin Masterclass. During which, we will explore terrior, the techniques used and the history of gin. The conclude, we will have a question and answer session…

A G&T will be served on arrival followed by a six-gin Masterclass, with a gin Martini to toast Members as they depart for their weekends…

We will taste:

G’Vine Floraison Gin
Beefeater’s Burroughs Reserve 2nd edition (red wine cask)
Ferdinand Saar Dry Gin (Riesling infused)
Four Pillars Bloody Shiraz Gin (Pressée technique with Shiraz grapes)
St George Terroir Gin
Glendough Gin
