Australian BYOB Dinner – raising funds for the victims of Australia’s bushfires

We invite you to bring a bottle of Australian wine to pair with a dinner at the Club, where all profits will be split equally between the Australian Red Cross and The Port Macquarie Koala Hospital.

BYOB Australia Fires

In October, bone dry earth on Gospers Mountain was struck by lightning. Brittle foliage and trees from consecutive droughts were ignited and the fires spread rapidly. Today, whilst the fire is contained in the main, it is still burning and in some areas, despite the rain, the blazes remain uncontrollable.

This has become Australia’s largest “megablaze”, engulfing land and wine country, and with another month of summer ahead, hot and windy conditions will undoubtedly return.

In an effort to help the relief projects, we will be serving a themed menu for Members and their guests alongside the Australian bottle you wish to bring (no judgement here…). There will also be an additional Australian wine list to browse on the evening just in case you run dry, and a donation from these bottles will also go towards these two charities.

I do hope you are able to join us to raise as much money as possible for this worthy cause, one that is close to many of our hearts.
