Constantia Glen masterclass

With a rich viticultural history, the Constantia Valley is widely regarded as one of the country’s finest natural areas in which to produce premium wine.

Constantia Glen has made a name for its elegant, complex and beautifully balanced Bordeaux blends, which show exceptional value for money. Crisp white wines and fresh, vibrant reds of great structure are produced here, setting this district apart from other South African wine-producing areas.

The 150-acre estate, with only 75 acres under vine and a production of just 100,000 bottles per year, has a unique position cradled between the Constantiaberg and Table Mountain ranges, with predominantly north-east facing slopes. This location subsequently allows exposure to late afternoon sun –  ideal for the slow ripening of the grapes that produce their classic wines.
