Craggy Range Masterclass
In 1993, Terry Peabody and his wife Mary decided they wanted to create a family legacy, one that could be handed down to future generations.

They decided they would build a wine estate…
An opportunity brought Terry to New Zealand, where he saw the potential he hadn’t seen elsewhere – the country’s exceptional climate, a rich history in farming the land and the pioneering spirit of the people.
Based on the single vineyard philosophy of wine-making, Craggy Range was the first in the Southern Hemisphere to specialise in the production of single vineyard wines from the most prestigious wine-growing regions across New Zealand, including Martinborough, Hawke’s Bay and Marlborough.
We welcome Australian-born Julian Grounds, Chief Winemaker at Craggy Range to host a Masterclass of these expressive wines. After stints in Margaret River, Central Otago, and Oregon, Julian became Senior Winemaker at Giant Steps in the Yarra Valley, before returning to Margaret River to join McHenry Hohnen as Chief Winemaker in 2017.
In January 2019, Julian joined Craggy Range as Chief Winemaker, bringing with him his contagious enthusiasm for contributing to the constant evolution of wine.
