Cloudburst with Will Berliner

It is a true pleasure to welcome Will Berliner, owner and winemaker of Cloudburst to the Club to guide Members through a Masterclass tasting of his brilliant wines.

Will Berliner wasn’t previously involved with wine, but has always loved plants. He studied plant biology and owned forests in the USA, and throughout his life he’s always had gardens, which he’s managed organically.

“I thought this would be my late-in-life project. I decided I wasn’t interested in making an everyday wine. I want to make something that sings in the glass.”

Will’s practices of careful observation, working with nature and offering only minimal interference with natural processes begins in the vineyard and continues in the winery. Since Will’s first vintage in 2010, Cloudburst has become one of Australia’s landmark wines, along with being some of the most difficult to get your hands on; finding a bottle to buy is a challenge…
