Israeli Masterclass
Tal Gal-Cohen is a consultant, lecturer and writer. He previously worked as a wine journalist for Israel’s national Globes newspaper and additionally penned the book ‘Wine Trails of Israel’.
Israel’s wine history is perhaps one of the richest on earth, dating back thousands of years.
Over the last decade however, the public’s perception of Israeli wine has shifted dramatically thanks to the success of both major and independent producers upgrading their production processes, whilst staying true to traditions as old as humankind.
It is notable that several Israeli wines have garnered top honours in major international competitions (including Vinitaly and Decanter), as well as earning stellar reviews in highly regarded wine journals – Golan Heights Winery was the first Israeli wine to receive Wine Enthusiast’s Prestigious “Wine Star” award in 2011.
It is a pleasure to welcome Tal to the Club, who will guide Members through a Masterclass of some of his favourite Israeli expressions.
