Domaine Serene

Domaine Serene was founded by Grace & Ken Evenstad in Dundee Hills, Oregon, in 1989 with 42 acres under vine, years before there was an established market for Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from the region. Today, they produce wines from 6 individual vineyard sites with the aim of making some of the world’s best Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, and to change the landscape of fine wine in Oregon.

The Estate released their first wine in 1990, a reserve Pinot Noir which gained 90 points from critic Robert Parker, and the first Chardonnay was released in 1997 made with fruit from some of the oldest Dijon clone vines in America.

Wines from both the Willamette Valley and Domaine Serene are gaining much acclaim; the Willamette Valley was the 2016 Wine Enthusiast ‘Wine Region of the Year’, Domaine Serene’s 2013 Jerusalem Hill Pinot Noir was voted the top American Pinot Noir at the 2017 Decanter World Wine Awards and the 2015 vintage of the Domaine Serene Evenstad Reserve Chardonnay was served to French President Emmanuel Macron at a White House State Dinner earlier this year.

This masterclass of Domaine Serene wines, hosted by General Manager Francois Mata, will feature the first UK tasting of the 2016 Evenstad Reserve Chardonnay, as well as a fascinating selection of Pinot Noirs rarely seen in the UK.
