A masterclass dinner with Pierre Graffeuille & Château Léoville-Las Cases

The great clos of Léoville-Las Cases, with its imposing gates and stone lion is one of the most iconic images of the Médoc.

This extensive vineyard occupies the most favourable site in the northernmost corner of Saint-Julien.

The Club’s 4th birthday, we welcome Members for a truly exceptional Masterclass dinner with one of Bordeaux’s finest expressions, hosted by Pierre Graffeuille.

The history of the domaine goes back to the 17th century, with the vast estate of Léoville being split up into three parts following the death of the Marquis de Las Cases in the 19th Century. The largest third went to his son Jean-Pierre and this is now Léoville Las Cases, with another third going to his daughter Jeanne, what is now Léoville Poyferré, and the last third being auctioned off to Hugh Barton and becoming Léoville Barton.

The Oxford Companion to Wine describes this estate as “the flagship wine of St-Julien and one run as though it were a First Growth…perhaps the most obvious candidate as a super second.”

It is a true pleasure to celebrate our 4th birthday with Pierre and his wines, and feature this exquisite line-up with an outstanding menu to pair. This is a night not to be missed by any lover of this historic wine-making region, featuring these superb vintages and formats.
