Chinese New Year with Janet Wang – Friday 20th January 2023

Join us in our Chinese Wine Wonderland to celebrate the Chinese Year of the Rabbit with Janet Z. Wang.

Aside from being a wine pundit on Channel 4’s Sunday Brunch, Janet is also the author of The Chinese Wine Renaissance, won the 2020 Gourmand Awards (World Wine category) and was shortlisted for Wine Book of the Year at the 2019 Louis Roederer International Wine Writers Awards (the ‘Oscars of wine writing’).

For our Chinese New Year of the Rabbit celebration – which is inspired by the adventure-engendering Mr Rabbit from Alice in Wonderland – Janet will lead us on a fun-filled journey, tasting a selection of superb Chinese wines paired with Asian-influenced canapés. This promises to be a festive evening to remember and set your Chinese New Year onto a path of new quests and fortunes!

By way of injecting a dash of intrigue (and for a little bit of fun), we will only reveal for now that you will taste EIGHT top wines from premium producers from various parts of China, including:

A choice of Chinese brandy or Baiju cocktail on arrival
Three single-varietal whites
Three single-varietal reds
One sweet wine

We will also be laying on lantern games, with a very exciting prize bottle of Chateau Changyu Moser XV Purple Air Comes From the East 2016.
