Art in the vineyard: Exclusive book preview – Monday 13th April
The Membership team are delighted to invite Members to an evening celebrating the launch of Art in Vineyards: Cultivating Culture, the new book by the Club’s art curator, Dr Christina Makris. The first work of its kind to explore the relationship between art, wine and place across vineyards worldwide, the book examines how some of the world’s most celebrated estates have evolved into cultural destinations where winemaking and visual art exist in dialogue.
In conversation with Victoria Mason MW, Wine Buyer and Climate & Nature Lead at The Wine Society, Christina will discuss how vineyards from Château Mouton Rothschild to Ornellaia, Bodegas Colomé and Leeuwin Estate have woven art into their identity through collecting, commissioning and exhibiting works within their landscapes.
This evening event will be a wonderful opportunity for Members with a passion for art to come together to join the discussion on the intersection of viticulture, landscape and visual culture. Following the talk, we encourage Members to add their voices to the Q&A and to stay and mingle with one another.
Christina’s book will be available for purchase at an exclusive 67 Pall Mall Member discount of 25% on the night, with an optional author’s signature or dedication available.
