Château du Tertre dinner – Wednesday 12th February
Situated on one of the highest gravel outcrops of the Médoc, Château du Tertre’s terroir is a treasure trove of ancient vines and exceptional soils. The estate, whose name means “hillock” in French, traces its origins back to 1143. Over the centuries, it has been shaped by illustrious figures, from Pierre Mitchell—the innovative Irish merchant who first crafted the glass bottles synonymous with Bordeaux wine—to the banking Koenigswarters, whose stewardship in the 19th century secured the château’s place in the 1855 Classification. Eric Albada Jelgersma invested substantially in the vineyards and cellars to restore its noble status.
This dinner presents a unique opportunity to taste the nuanced wines of Château du Tertre, with pairings expertly chosen to highlight the character and finesse of each vintage by Laura Dusser, Brand Ambassador. Our kitchen brigade has crafted a bespoke four-course menu that complements the wines’ signature elegance and celebrates the Margaux terroir.
