We completely agree that brunch simply must be accompanied by a glass, so we welcome Members to the Members’ Lounge to indulge in a perfectly paired brunch to ease you into the weekend.
Brunch has become quite the trend in recent times. Some food historians think that the roots of this ‘meal’ are in England’s hunt breakfasts – indulgent multi-course meals that would see chicken livers, eggs, meats, bacon, fresh fruit and sweets displayed proudly on the dining room table.
It could however derive from the practice of Catholics fasting before mass and then sitting down for a large midday meal. And there are some, however, that look to the New York dining scene as the epicentre of this delicious craze…
