Gusbourne Tasting with Charlie Holland | Thursday 25th November
In the past decade, English winemaking has gone from strength to strength, crafting serious wines that achieve top accolades at both local and international levels rivalling the top champagnes. Charlie Holland, Head Winemaker at Gusbourne Estate in Kent, will explore what makes Gusbourne’s corner of England so special for winemaking and how far the industry has come in a relatively short period of time in relation to the wider world of wine.
With over 20 years of international winemaking experience, Charlie honed his skills working in some of the best wine-producing regions around the world, including Australia, New Zealand, Germany and the USA. As Head Winemaker of Gusbourne, Charlie has gone on to produce some of the UK’s most celebrated wines.
Join us in the St. James’s Room for a tasting in which Charlie will guide you through a tasting of both the still and sparkling wines Gusbourne makes, and how their estate is able to produce such exceptional quality wines on the Kentish coast.
