Monday 9th January
Aside from being surrounded by some of the world’s most jaw-dropping scenery and being blessed with spectacular slopes, we at the Verbier Club are fortunate enough to have Vaud – Switzerland’s second largest wine region – as a neighbour.
Winemaking has been intrinsic to Vaud’s story since the Middle Ages, and the combined forces of its mountains, lakes and rivers has resulted in an astonishing array of terroirs.
With a clutch of stunning wines acting as your gateway, we hope to see you on Monday 9th January for a journey through this patchwork of soils, along the way discovering some quite singular grapes such as Plant Robez, Chasselas and Servagnin (a mutant cousin of Pinot Noir).
This should prove to be an unmissable evening for the curious wine disciple…
The wines we will be tasting:
2015 Domaine de la Colombe, Brez Chasselas Grand Cru, La Côte
2020 Les Frères Dutruy, Les Romaines Chardonnay Grande Réserve, La Côte
2019 Domaine Louis Bovard, Buxus Sauvignon Blanc Grand Cru, Epesses
2019 Henri Cruchon, Servagnin, Morges Grand Cru, La Côte
