Bold Wines from Old Vines walkaround tasting – Wednesday 14th June
The best old vines yield uniquely transcendent wines, incomparably rich in flavour, symbolism and heritage. But maintaining these vinous treasures is not straightforward, and while there are valiant champions dotted around the world, the global market does not recognise the category, often rendering their cultivation commercially challenging.
As a result, healthy old vineyards of cultural resonance and unique qualitative potential are at risk of being lost. Enter The Old Vine Conference, a group of intrepid vinous crusaders galvanising to promote the awareness, understanding and support of the global old-vine movement.
We are delighted to partner with The Old Vine Conference for an enlightening evening showcasing the quality and breadth of old-vine wines. Join us for a walkaround tasting of one of the largest selections of old-vine wines from around the world, with 120 wines on show, from Argentina to Armenia, Italy to Turkey, Spain to South-Africa and beyond.
During the tasting, Members will be able to taste through this vast selection at their leisure, meeting the co-founders of The Old Vine Conference, as well as some of the inspiring producers behind these astonishing wines.
