Few New Zealand names command such respect and admiration as Felton Road. A benchmark for the country’s Pinot Noir, the producer’s pioneering approach in the vineyard and beyond has set a new standard for Central Otago winemaking.
Felton Road has been owned and run by Brit Nigel Greening for almost a quarter of a century now, during which time he has pursued a dedicated path to ever-greater quality. We are delighted to welcome Nigel back to the club to host a Friday-night dinner at the end of the month.
Through its adherence to organic and biodynamic farming and a firm focus on individual sites and sustainability, Felton Road has set a new standard for New Zealand Pinot and Chardonnay. Its wines are marked by a fresh, crunchy, spicy nature, with wonderfully complex aromas – bold and generous yet graceful and elegant.
Together with his daughter Nicola, Nigel will present Felton Road’s full range, from its Riesling and Chardonnay to the various single-vineyard Pinots, while outlining its radical action to counter climate change. Join us for what is sure to be an enlightening, uplifting evening.
