Join our friend, Member and Burgundy resident Raymond Blake in the Lutyens Room on 2nd April for a relaxed introduction to Burgundy’s Côte d’Or – the world’s most fabled wine region.
Members can expect an informal wine tasting, focusing on the people and the place just as much as the wine in your glass. Illustrated with his own photographs and presented by way of tale and anecdote, Raymond’s presentation will both entertain and inform. Raymond has written two books about Burgundy, and this intimate evening aims to bring these to life.
Expect to learn about the harvest, market shopping, the annual Saint Vincent Tournante, the Hospices de Beaune, winemakers, visiting barrel makers and, inevitably, the challenges of buying and renovating a house in the region.
In addition to this wealth of information and a line-up of wines expertly chosen by Raymond and our sommeliers, we will be serving guests a selection of canapés, charcuterie and cheese, all chosen with Burgundy in mind.
Wines to be confirmed.
