ASSISTANT RESTAURANT MANAGER
We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Assistant Restaurant Manager to join the founding location of the 67 Pall Mall Members’ Club, located in the heart of London’s St. James.
67 Pall Mall is a Private Members’ Club, founded by wine lovers, for wine lovers, and is home to the finest wine list in the world.
At 67 Pall Mall the Assistant Restaurant Manager is an integral part of our FOH team, responsible for delivering our food and beverage experience for Members in line with our service standards.
The service expectations are extremely high, but offered in a warm, convivial manner in keeping with a private members club. The expectation is that we create an intimacy with our Members, a home from home, seven days a week.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To build and cement relationships with the existing Members
- To lead by example with service standards as required in a luxury environment
- To ensure a truly warm and welcoming experience for all members and visitors dining in the club
- To possess an outstanding knowledge of all food, wines, cooking techniques and allergy requirements to ensure guests can always be advised appropriately
- To oversee the day to day management of the FOH service team ensuring exceptional standards are delivered and maintained
- To ensure the club is always presented perfectly, with a strong focus on cleanliness and hygiene.
- To assist in the ordering and control of stock items
- To assist in the management of the back of house service areas which include cleanliness, hygiene, stock control and wastage
- To manage and maintain a strong and effective relationship with the kitchen team and sommelier team
- To assist in the training and mentoring of the team
- To plan and coordinate menus with the chef and sommelier team
- To respond to member complaints
- To organise and supervise relevant team members
- To prepare cash drawers and provide petty cash as required
- To be responsible for opening and closing the building correctly and handling the cash opening and closing procedures
- To take active part in recruiting and other aspects of Human Resources
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- Wine knowledge not mandatory but would be welcome
- 2 years’ experience in similar position and environment
- Leadership skills
- Great speaking and writing communication skills
- Good level of English
- Proactive
- Take initiatives
